The opportunity
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is primarily responsible for the business development in the EMEA region, implementing all the activities and actions needed to grow pipelines, revenues and drive growth. The KAM is responsible for all the stages of the sales funnel, from lead acquisition to customer retention, with the final goal to turn each customer into a long-term partner. This individual also plays an important role in idea generation, project management, execution and measurement of go-to-market initiatives. This role will be based in our Swiss Headquarter and is offered on a permanent full-time basis.
Your key responsibilities
- Achieve revenue and margin targets set by the management
- Acquire new and potentially strategic customers
- Proactively conduct business negotiations
- Manage open business opportunities on a daily basis
- Monitor sales progress on customers
- Ensuring customer satisfaction
- Provide marketing & sales management with insights to implement promotional policies and ad-hoc strategies
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have:
- In-depth knowledge of the strategic relationships processes and tools (e.g. CRM, ERP, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and 2 Swiss national languages
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to create and maintain relationships
- Ability to understand market complexity with insight and observation
- Ability to decide on and prioritize tasks by urgency and importance
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Willing to travel to prospects and customers in the EMEA region
- Flexible, tenacious and resilient
- Goal and results oriented individually and as a team
- Autonomous but an active participant in an organization
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Previous experience in the precision tools market
- An in-depth knowledge of the beauty industry and/or electronics industry dynamics
- Knowledge of any other EMEA language
