OUR HISTORY
A family story of entrepreneurship, imagination and passion.
1900s
The need for precision instruments arises in the heart of the Swiss Watch Valley.
1930
The Terrier family is at the forefront of the market in understanding that tweezers were useful in many industrial sectors besides watchmaking. So the founder’s son decides to look for new horizons, moving to Canton Ticino in south Switzerland.
1962
The third generation of the Terrier family, Michel, decides to rent some vacant space inside the old spinning mill of Mendrisio, Switzerland: the modern Regine Group is founded.
1970
There is a large expansion of the business thanks to the rise of new application fields: micro-electronics, aerospace, telecommunications and many more.
1975
New headquarters and manufacturing plant in Morbio Inferiore, Switzerland.
1980
The growth continues with entry into new sectors: bio-genetics, micro-surgery, pharma and beauty.
2003
Simon, the fourth generation of the Terrier family, enters the company. In the meanwhile, the business keeps growing.
2021
Simon Terrier becomes the CEO, bringing new energy, passion and vision to the company. The Regine Group grows, expanding its capacity and strengthening its position and expertise and acquiring a new production site in northern Italy.
2022
The Group follows its new strategy and long-term industrial plan. The adventure continues…
